Insert Exciting Title Here

I don't really have a lot to say.
Actually... I have nothing to say. I just wanted to show you what I wore on Sunday. Broken finger and all:
Jacket (F+F for Tesco), tshirt (H&M), skinny jeans (Criminal Damage @ Blue Banana) and belt (vintage).
The strapped up fingers and cotton wool between is not part of the look, that is the outcome of arguments with a door on a night out... The alcohol hadn't set in much at that point, honestly.
Black fingers are not a good luck.

That's it for today though. I might have something worth saying soon, who knows.
If not, have a good Easter.
Hope the bunny brings you lots and lots of chocolate =]

Splitting At The Seams.

So, as I blogged last time, yesterday was a bit of a busy day.
I went to London for a good chunk of the day as I had an interview for a job up there. I'm still reluctant to reveal where, but I will know mid to late this coming week, so then all shall be revealed (if I get the job).
I wore the brand new shirt (New Look) that I had bought not long after I found out about the interview, along with my suit (Warehouse). I loved this new shirt and I don't think this picture really does it any justice, but it's the best I have. I love how square the shoulders are - the dents that are in them in this picture are just because I had my jacket on most of the day and I didn't have time to adjust as was in a rush to shower, change and eat.
Another thing I love about the shirt is the section around the waist - the way it's constructed to almost be like a wide belt on it. It's definitely very flattering on the figure. I also like that there is minimal darting on this shirt - something that causes me a lot problems because shirts on the high street are made for an "average" size and work on the theory that if you're a size 8 then your bust should be this size etc. This theory goes to pot with me - size 8 was too short in length and buttons were straining slightly across my bust. The size 10 fits in length but didn't strain anywhere. However, on most size 10's with darting, they expect you to have a bigger bust, so I end up with this loose bit of fabric around my bust drawing attraction to my sheer lack of anything in that department. Blah. *end of rant*.

In the end, I thankfully didn't have to change in the back of my car as I feared would possibly be the case. Instead, I managed to get home, shower, eat and change. In the end I picked out my ripped jeans (Topshop, customised by me), my favourite shirt (River Island) that I live and die in a little bit, my black hoody (Primark) and my leather jacket (Florence + Fred for Tesco). It was uber comfortable and perfect amount of layering for sitting in a pub and then going on to a bar and dancing a bit. Lots of fun.

Now I'm just suffering from a lack of sleep because I didn't get to sleep until gone 3 this morning, but woke up at 8 and couldn't get back to sleep.

I won't be blogging much this week for a few reasons - firstly I broke a finger last night (big deal, not, but typing is a bit of a pain when they're strapped together), and secondly because I have a lot of personal things going down this week.
HOWEVER, as soon as I know the outcome of my interview, there shall be a post on here (even if it's just a tiny scribble of "OMGOSH I GOT IT" or "Kill me now, I didn't get it") there will definitely be a post.

Have a good week :)

Summer Be A'Coming...

Summer is finally starting to feel like it's in the air - at last!
Was actually warm all day today - with windows open and everything... And I've started putting some planning towards my summer wardrobe - I think I'm even gonna try to be good and not buy any more clothes unless I wreck some. I make no promises though. I just don't feel the need to shop for any more with the amount I currently have.
That said, I have seen a skirt... and Dear Diary, I want!
I found this on another blog; Style Lines. Love it!

I'm also planning on hacking up a pair of jeans that I've accidentally ripped to shreds over the last year or so, and turning them into a pair of shorts... They look alright with the rips, but the ripping as gotten a bit excessive, so I think I'd rather just have a pair of hotpants outta them. I'm that cool. Promise!

In other news, as I said in my blog yesterday, I have an interview on Friday in London. Thankfully, for once, I know what I'm going to wear - I bought a new shirt in New Look last week especially (and because I've knackered all my old white shirts). However, as I also mentioned, I'm going out Friday night.... which may mean a possible change in the back of my car if I don't get back in time... Which is going to be fun fun fun... Not! Especially as I have no idea what to wear - I mean what are you supposed to wear to go drinking with ex-work-mates who you haven't seen for a few weeks.... And have NEVER been drinking with...
Blah decisions... It's also what can I wear that I can guarantee I won't embarrass myself with... and I'll also be able to get off quietly when I stumble home in the early hours of the morning still quite drunk... Not that I promote drinking in any way kids!

I haven't got a lot else to say, will blog when I have something of interest to say. Might have more pictures of outfits or of things I lust for. Have a good evening.

Time Goes By.

So after nearly a week's delay on getting these pictures up, I've finally gotten around to popping them up:
Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

I was originally planning on uploading these all and then putting with them the notes from the show guide.... But that seems a lot of effort, and to me it doesn't make much difference. If you really wanna know, just comment and tell me which picture and I'll get back to you after I've figured it out. I'm also quite aware these aren't the best photos in the world, however, models do walk quite fast a lot of the time, making good snapshots on my average camera a wee bit difficult... Such is life - they're enough to get a vague idea of pattern and/or shape.

I haven't really got much else to say... This week's looking a bit odd and unknown in terms of what I'm doing - certainly working minimum of Monday and Tuesday. And I'm definitely not working on Friday for I have the joys of a job interview in London (2 and half hours of having to shine - eep!) followed by a night out with some people from one of the places I temped. Excited much? Yeah man.
But this leaves Wednesday and Thursday as pretty much unknowns - I may end up having to work or I may get to enjoy a rare moment of time off with no one else around (bar my father, but that doesn't count). I guess all we can do is just see what this week brings. You never know - I might actually get a decent amount of blogging done.. Haha!

Anyway, I shall abandon this for tonight; it's late, I'm tired and I have a very good book on the go. "Passion" by Louise Bagshawe (one of my favourite authors right now, I think I've mentioned her a few times in the past). It's a fantastic storyline so far and is described as being "James Bond for girls" - I'm going with that description too - mahoosive amounts of action, lust, and description. It is a fabulous read, rather addictive, but I definitely recommend.

I'm Home

And my, my, my there is lots for me to say. I don't even know where to start.

For starters I had an ab-fab time in Belfast. And enjoyed myself on the day trip to Dublin. I took a fair few photos - though not as many as boyfriend - and I even managed to get some *rather dodgy* pictures at the fashion show on Thursday night.
This is one of my favourite shots of myself from the holiday... This was taken a short walk away from our hotel. I'm wearing leggings (H&M); black jumper dress (Matalan); strap top (Primark); Coat (BHS); handbag (Jimmy Choo for H&M); scarf (Next); and boots (can't remember where from).

I'm going to slowly put together a big montage of all the vaguely ok photos I got at the fashion show - I'll probably save that montage for another blog a bit later on. However, I will share with you the picture I took of my goody bag.
And because I dragged boyfriend along (poor bugger) I basically got double the goodies. Win? I think so.
What else to say? Hmm, well in Dublin I did crazy amounts of shopping. Well, ok, not CRAZY amounts, but a reasonable amount. I went into A|Wear (new favourite store for now) and bought couple of tops and a dress. I have no doubt pictures will be popping up as we go along.
I also went into H&M in Dublin and bought more leggings (yawn-fest, but I seem to live in them at the moment) aaaaand a new shirt; a bit like my pink Uniqlo one.

Whilst away, I obviously needed something to do to tide me over in the evenings and whilst waiting for my turn in the shower in the mornings, so I took a book with me. The book was "Fast Friends" by Jill Mansell and is definitely a must read if you like chick-lit.
Jill Mansell always seems to fabulous novels with plenty of raunchiness, lots of fabulous outfit descriptions, and fantastic story lines that pull you in. I think I drove boyfriend mildly insane when every morning it was "you can go in the shower now," "yeah, ok, I'll just finish this chapter..." *15 minutes later* "are you going in the shower?" "yeah, yeah. I accidentally started a new chapter... I'll just finish this one. Honest..."
Needless to say, he learnt to look over my shoulder as I was getting close to the end of chapters and then snatched the book away from me so we actually got things done with our days. Woops!

Anyway, for now I'm going to run away and watch "Love Story" - according to my mother, a classic that I have to see, and seeing as it was a freebie disc with a paper the other week, I'm willing to give in and watch it.
I'll chuck up a montage of my fashion show photos at some point in the not too distant future. But before I run, here's a picture of what I wore for the show:
Jeans (vintage), boots (can't remember), strap top (Florence + Fred) and lace top (H&M).

I Found Wood In My Bed.

Because that's something you do everyday... Honestly.
And no - it wasn't in a dirty sense by any stretch of the imagination - I wrote a shopping list on a piece of wood yesterday when I was being all creative and making something, and copied the list onto paper to take out with me, throwing the bit of wood onto my bed. Promptly forgot it was there and threw myself onto my bed... Only to rediscover wood!

Moving swiftly on though; because that was the most exciting story you'll have ever heard; I'm aware that I wasn't planning on blogging before I went to Belfast. However, I have somehow, by some freak of nature, managed to be so super duper organised that I'm already packed and ready, bar a few things which I can't pack until just before I go anyway (y'know important things like straighteners, make up, make up remover, etc)
I've even managed to leave some space in a small suitcase. And I'm going for 5 whole days. This is basically unheard of for me.
So I did the logical thing and took a picture to show off my achievements. Go me.
I also wanted to show you a picture of when I accidentally ended up playing with layers when I just grabbed my leather jacket to throw over top of everything else when I went outside to cut some wood with boyfriend.
(Black jeans - Criminal Damage @ Blue Banana; stripey top - a boutique somewhere; grey cardigan - New Look; belt & necklace (barely visible) - vintage; leather jacket - Florence + Fred)
I'm aware this picture is horrendously myspace, however, I couldn't get a satisfactory shot anyway. And I'm not sure I really like the way the layers have worked together, or not worked rather, but I was rather intrigued by it, so put a picture up, because that's how we roll here.

This post is awfully bitty today, and I'm going to make it ever worse by now moving onto something completely different. Every day of every week, my family by the Daily Telegraph (Sunday Telegraph on a Sunday, obvs); and every Sunday there is a supplement called "Stella" which is basically a fashion supplement. In it this week there is an article titled "Muse of the World" about fashion muses. Normally I read the first paragraph of an article to see if I can be bothered to read it, but with this one I didn't need to - I read the opening sentence and that was it: I knew I had to read the entire article (I still haven't, but this is not the point).
What was this wonderful opening that attracted my attention so much?
'When a man says he wants to send you flowers, say "My florist is Cartier",' said Mitzah Bricard.
I know little to nothing about this Mitzah Bricard woman - other than that she became Christian Dior's muse (I've read the first 2 columns of the article). I do, however, know that she should be my ideal. Why buy me flowers that will wilt and die; inevitably like the love/affair/whatever; when you can buy me diamonds that last forever?
Ill read the rest of the article tonight, and no doubt I'll find more quotes that I'll adore, but none the less, I shall definitely not be posting again before Belfast.

I'll return to blogging next Saturday/Sunday, and there may even be a few pictures in it here, we'll see.
Have a peaceful week.

The Big One Hundred

Ladies and Gentlemen.
We have finally reach 100 posts.
That means that since August 2009 and March 2010 I have written one hundred times about clothes and accessories, make up and lust for items.
I'm quite proud of this achievement personally. I think it may be the longest I have ever maintained a blog to a reasonable standard...
Okay, to any standard.
So that's my little speech out of the way, let's get back to business.

As I blogged yesterday, and the day before, I had my haircut this morning. Yay-full-ness.
I also played dress up a bit today, because I can.
This is what I wore this morning to go get my haircut in because I actually wore the top yesterday, so it didn't matter that it got covered in hair...
I never wear these red skinnies (Oasis) often enough, I think it's just because it's so hard to get the look right without looking like a 13 year old emo boy.
The top (Autonomy), again I don't wear it enough, because it always looks so formal unless I get it with just the right thing. So yeah, that's what I wore to go get my hair hacked off.
(and I'm liking how blue my eyes seem in this photo... weirdness)
After I'd showered to remove the hair that always gets into obscure places, (like seriously, how did it get to my belly button from my head?) I changed into a little bit of granny chic - I even dug out my old glasses to make it even more geek/granny chic. It's my usual concoction (dress - Illustrated People @ Topshop; leggings - H&M; stripey top - Primark) that I seem to be turning to lately, with a cardigan (New Look) on as well, so not that granny-ish, but shh. We're allowed to pretend.
And finally I just felt like being a bit of a poser and showing my white stilettos off, because I'm able to more than anything.

Anyway, today will possibly, probably, be my last blog for a week or so. I'm off to Belfast on Monday, which means packing over the weekend. I don't get home til late Friday night, so I'll be tired tired tired, and then Saturday is my last day with boyfriend home before he leaves me for 3 whole months to go on tour. *boo hoo*
So have a good week, we'll see you in a few days. :)

JJ's Episode

Tonight we have JJ's episode.
JJ with his "special noggin" as Cook so lovingly puts it.
But yeah.

I'm totally loving JJ's date/girlfriend/f*ck-buddy's dress that she wears for the date. Bang on trend for this season with nudes and polka dots. Could you get much more pretty?
And I'm kinda infatuated with her hair a little bit *sigh*

I also can't help but adore JJ's style - so fantastically put together to truly represent his character. For his date - turning up two hours early, awwww - he wears a fabulous concoction of checkered shirt with checkered bow tie.

Her name's Lara by the way, just thought I'd throw that in randomly because I couldn't remember her name earlier - fail, I know.
I can't help but wonder what JJ's condition is - the show is well written so you don't actually get told.

Sorry, this is appallingly written tonight - live blogging as the show goes on.

I'm liking the way Lara's outfits have been designed to make her more "appropriately" dressed to meet parents, especially when dealing with the shock of presenting the baby too.

I don't have much else to say - only one more post and then I hit the grand 100 posts.
Haircut tomorrow morning, so I do believe I may have to cam-whore a bit and show it off. :) Cos I'm cool like that.
*tumbleweed rolls through*

And on a side note - Michael Jackson song about 50 minutes into the episode. Adore this song :) Lustful sigh.
I do believe it's "Man in the Mirror" which is a lurvellly song.

Two To Go

After today we only have two more posts to go before I reach the grand target of triple figures. Woo!

I don't have much of interest to say; ok, when do I ever; but none the less I just wanted to go and say:

OH-EM-GEE
OH-EM-GEE
(That's oh my gosh/god for you non-hip people - I prefer "gosh" personally, but y'know...)

HAIRCUT ON FRIDAY.

You may have noticed in outfit posts of late that my hair is getting longer again, and now it has reached a point where it is far too long for my liking. I know to many people my hair is still very short for a girl, but screw 'em. I like short-shorts. And I like my hair that little bit shorter ;)
So I'm popping in to see my favourite hairdresser ever, who always goes snippety snip with my hair on Friday ♥
I've been meaning to do this for a good few weeks, just haven't had time around work and stuff, but I've finally taken plunge and am getting it done before Belfast (which is Monday by the way folks!)

So what I'm thinking is a mixture of Mary Quant like this:
And kinda like what I had done last time but this time with fringe being slightly straighter because my darling hairdresser cut it so it would be swept to one side, so it wasn't quite straight across.
Something like this:
(apologies for the appalling quality pic - it's from a webcam shot like forever ago)
And finally throw in a tiny bit of this old shot:
And that's how I want my hair to look... Like straight across fringe that's just a lil bit in my eyes and like sharp sides and short back that I can spike up or keep flat depending on my mood.
And then it'll grow out into exactly the same style that it always does, because my hair is odd like that.

Anywho, in other news, Skin's tomorrow night. I can't remember who's episode it is, but it shall be good, I'm looking forward to it.
Belfast next week which means blog shall be rejected for a whole week, but hopefully when I return I shall have pictures to upload and stories to tell and new clothes to show and and and things to write about.
Because that was a coherent sentence...

So have a good evening, I'll be blogging with Skins tomorrow.
