So, as I blogged last time, yesterday was a bit of a busy day.
I went to London for a good chunk of the day as I had an interview for a job up there. I'm still reluctant to reveal where, but I will know mid to late this coming week, so then all shall be revealed (if I get the job).
I wore the brand new shirt (New Look) that I had bought not long after I found out about the interview, along with my suit (Warehouse). I loved this new shirt and I don't think this picture really does it any justice, but it's the best I have. I love how square the shoulders are - the dents that are in them in this picture are just because I had my jacket on most of the day and I didn't have time to adjust as was in a rush to shower, change and eat.
Another thing I love about the shirt is the section around the waist - the way it's constructed to almost be like a wide belt on it. It's definitely very flattering on the figure. I also like that there is minimal darting on this shirt - something that causes me a lot problems because shirts on the high street are made for an "average" size and work on the theory that if you're a size 8 then your bust should be this size etc. This theory goes to pot with me - size 8 was too short in length and buttons were straining slightly across my bust. The size 10 fits in length but didn't strain anywhere. However, on most size 10's with darting, they expect you to have a bigger bust, so I end up with this loose bit of fabric around my bust drawing attraction to my sheer lack of anything in that department. Blah. *end of rant*.
In the end, I thankfully didn't have to change in the back of my car as I feared would possibly be the case. Instead, I managed to get home, shower, eat and change. In the end I picked out my ripped jeans (Topshop, customised by me), my favourite shirt (River Island) that I live and die in a little bit, my black hoody (Primark) and my leather jacket (Florence + Fred for Tesco). It was uber comfortable and perfect amount of layering for sitting in a pub and then going on to a bar and dancing a bit. Lots of fun.
Now I'm just suffering from a lack of sleep because I didn't get to sleep until gone 3 this morning, but woke up at 8 and couldn't get back to sleep.
I won't be blogging much this week for a few reasons - firstly I broke a finger last night (big deal, not, but typing is a bit of a pain when they're strapped together), and secondly because I have a lot of personal things going down this week.
HOWEVER, as soon as I know the outcome of my interview, there shall be a post on here (even if it's just a tiny scribble of "OMGOSH I GOT IT" or "Kill me now, I didn't get it") there will definitely be a post.
Have a good week :)
