Skins

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon here and rant and rave about how much I love Skins.
Ok, so this immediately makes me like every other teen girl out there at the moment it would seem, and I admit, there are times when I love it for all the wrong reasons; all the common reasons. Actually, that's true for most of the time. There are also times when I would love to be one of the Skins girls, but then I realise that what I have is pretty close at times, without all the hassle that they suffer.
The main reason I want to rant and rave about Skins though is because of the clothes. Like most good shows, the costume designer (Edward K Gibbon) has spent a lot of time developing each character's style into one that reflects their personality.
I think my favourite two characters for their personality vs. style are definitely Pandora and Effy.

Effy
I'm the first to admit that I harbour a major girl crush on Effy, and on Kaya who plays her.
I purchased the magazine "Company" today for a bit of cheap tat to read and keep me vaguely amused for a couple of hours, and the main reason I purchased it was because it was guest-edited by the cast of Skins. In one of the interviews with some of the girl cast, Kaya revealed that when she was younger, she had poor self-confidence because she "was paranoid about being too skinny, [she] had no boobs and looked like a boy". Relate to it much? I sure as hell did.
I also can't help but love her overall style; what she wears as Effy is what she wears as Kaya - she admitted in the same interview that she "just lives in [her] character Effy's clothes" if she wasn't wearing high street.
The leather jacket she's wearing at the end of Episode 1, Season 4? Typical Effy and immediately steals my heart.

Pandora
This girl's kooky, kitsch outfits hurt my eyes more often than not. A lot of the individual items she wears I think are fantastic, but the way Panda (as she's better known through the series) combines it all in one; well it certainly takes the clashing trend to a whole new level.
But this is where I think Edward has it down to a "T" on his costume designs. Panda is the scattiest, blondest character there. She is prone to acting quite immature a lot of the time, and is very naive. So her clothing style reflects this.

Check E4's special Skins Style section here, to see more about what the characters are wearing and what Edward K Gibbon's been throwing together for them.

I think I'm going to try and make writing my thoughts and opinions on the Skins episodes a weekly feature on here; however; whether this happens or not is another matter.

Haven't got much else to report, but I can't find a decent cast shot for this series, so for now, you'll have to make do with Series 3 Cast shot:
P.S. In case you hadn't guessed, I bum skins. I love the girls, and I love the guys. I harbour girl crushes for Effy, Emily and Naomi. Simple, sorted.

Got Style?

Nah, I haven't got style at the moment.
I don't know what's wrong with me of late. I don't seem to be able to put together any outfit that I like and is practical. And if I'm not warm, then I'm not happy; but if I don't look good, then I'm not happy either. Yet I can't seem to get warm and look good at the same time. Failure much? Yeah, I'm thinking so.

Anyway, in other news: I've finally crossed over to the dark side (and was rewarded with cookies) and got myself a twitter. Hit it here. Having gotten twitter and following Hilary Alexander (the fashion guru for the Telegraph), along with Susie Bubble (of the great Style Bubble), and other fashion hotties, has helped to rekindle my major passion in following this.
In all honesty, my passion never went away, it just got harder to keep up with it and keep motivated for a while. I'm going to try harder though. Because this is my passion, and if I'm serious at what I want to do with my life, then I gotta keep on top of it. I have to keep up with the up and coming trends, the different shapes and who suits what.

So, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. Eventually I aim to take my camera everywhere and get a little bit Sartorialist on your asses; along with what I'm loving and wearing.
So, let's get this show on the road, and rock 'n' roll.

Hopefully, I'll get some pictures and interesting things up soon. I just wanted to let y'all know I'm trying at making this work, and working towards my goal.

A Wee Update

As per usual, I'm not doing very well at the blogging regularly thing. No excuse, as per usual, other than I have been a very busy girl.
I went into London today to find out about a college course and in the end, had an interview for a job as well... The course thing; not going to happen. The job, well, I should know in a week whether I've gotten through to the next stage, though I'm not too sure. I'm not going to reveal where the interview was though, because it's not something I want the world to know I got turned down for, if I do get turned down.
Yes, because that makes perfect sense....

Anyway, moving swiftly on. I have no interesting, or decent, outfit pictures of myself. I've been uber lazy with dressing of late; smart things for work, sweatpants in the evenings. And yes, I can almost feel the sharp intake of breath as you go "she wears sweatpants?! no way has she got style." I know, but they're just too damn comfortable and are perfect for lazing around in the evenings. Honest.

Instead of pictures of me, I thought I'd show some thins that are coming out on the high street for Spring 2010. The things that I lust for; and would definitely be buying if I had any money.
Dear Diary; these are the things I'm liking and lusting after.
Ok, so apologies for the crappy montage, but it's long past my bedtime, and I'm determined to get this blogged.
A quick rundown from left to right:
Red Tartan Bustier Jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge (£48). With this one I think it's a little over priced for what it is, but I really like it for some odd reason. Perhaps because it could easily pass, in photos at least, as a two piece. I personally, though, would never wear it, I just like it.

The Farah Polka Dot Ra-Ra Dress (desperately trying to ignore Lady Gaga's Bad Romance which is now playing in my head) is by BooHoo.com (that's a direct link btw). Although it is actually just a strapless dress, I think I much prefer it with this white bodysuit underneath. However, with the dress alone costing £30, I really can't justify it at the moment; even if boyfriend sweetly offered to pay for half because he thinks I'll look good in it.

The third picture - the decapitated person.... I'm sorry, I really am. It's Miley Cyrus. I know I shouldn't judge, but I'm definitely not her biggest fan, so I just couldn't stomach having her picture on my blog. I do however, rather like what she's wearing, and BooHoo.com are doing a "steal her style" look based on this photo.

Then we have these shoes... Ahh, I think I'm in love. Unfortunately, they're not my size. So I can't buy them. I don't have anywhere to wear them either, but that's not the point. I came across them on eBay, here, kinda by accident. I'm not really sure what I searched for to end up with them, but I want, I want! =[

And finally, the last image, the trainer heels. I found these in New Look the other day whilst out shopping for my Mum, and with her. I was actually looking for new shoes to replace my work ones, but that's another matter I'll come to in a moment... None the less, I want, I want! They're £25, but if I could justify it, I would have bought them in a heart beat. My mother disapproves of them, she really doesn't like their general styling, but screw her, they're my feet. And they also have one thing in their favour, which will come in a minute...

But yeah, up in that 'ere montage are a couple of things I'm liking this Spring. S'good eh.

And now, for an open letter to the buyers of shoes on the high street:

Dear Buyers,
Please, please, please, when selecting the shoes you're going to sell in store for each coming season, please put some "sensible" ones in. By this I do not mean flats and boring and comfortable; no; I mean ones that hold your foot properly and come up to just under the ankle bone for shoe boots.
Why do I make this plea? Because I grew too fast and ended up with a problem with my legs. I have knees that sit slightly out of joint which causes hip problems. The knee and hip problems are made worse by the fact my feet roll inward, quite badly at times, which has been known to cause my knee to dislocate more than once. This is no longer a problem though for I have been given insoles to wear in my shoes that help correct the roll of my feet.
These insoles do, however, require sturdy shoes to hold them. And to leave enough space for my foot to remain in the shoe.
New Look, for example; I found a gorgeous pair of shoe boots that were gorgeous; they fitted perfectly. I then put my insoles in, which just about fitted in ok. Putting my foot in though? Well, it was pointless, there was no where near enough shoe left to hold my foot in place around the heel, so once more I was unable to buy a pair of shoes.
I already am unable to buy dolly shoes and such like. Sure, I could forgo my insoles, but it also ruins my shoes. Without my insoles, no par of shoes survives longer than a couple of months.

I am aware that I am in a minority, however I know I am not alone. When I was being fitted for my insoles, the doctor informed me that it is quite common amongst teenage girls, especially tall ones, who have grown quickly like I did. Therefore there are hundreds, possibly thousands, of girls out there who need well made shoes, but cannot afford to go designer every time.
And anyway, designers don't always do it better....
So, buyers at the high street stores. Please, I beg of you, try to sort some shoes for me. I like the brogues with heels... I just can't seem to find any that are of a low enough height for me to work in them all day long comfortable, but still take my insoles.

Thank you,
Yours Faithfully,
The Girl With Messed Up Legs,
aka. KJ.

To Make Up An Epic Failing on The Posting Front...

Here's a lot of outfit pictures that I made whilst sorting through my wardrobe...
Today I was planning on wearing the Topshop dress that I always seem to wear at the moment, so I decided to pop it on with shorts (Primark) just for fun to see what it looked like. I quite like it actually =]

I also decided to try doing the grungy-goth-girl-with-tailoring look by chucking on my boyfriend blazer (Florence + Fred @ tesco). I think that with a pair of tights chucked on, this outfit could almost definitely be a win...

Now, this was given to me a while ago by some one who was clearing out their wardrobe.... It's actually a skirt. But I don't do skirts that aren't above the knee, so being the amazing person I am *tch, yeah right*, I decided to put it on as a dress and belt it with this amazing freebie belt I got when I went to Clothes Show Live in 2007. Definitely a winner for a night out I'd like to think. And a far nicer way to wear the skirt, in my opinion anyway.

Now with this one, I was messing around with a tutu type skirt I have and putting my tartan skirts over the top... Then I realised that this aged 14 skirt I have doesn't fit anymore properly *boo hoo*, unless I wear it above my hips which is something I never normally do. None the less, I love this skirt (New Look or Tammy @ BHS - can't remember which) too much to throw away, so I whipped off the tutu thing and shoved on and tucked in a white shirt (Topshop) (again, something I never do)... add to it a belt (from a friend) to just cinch the waist, and I actually quite liked the achieved look. I'm thinking this one may be a winner for when I go to London, but more about that later...

Finally, I decided I wanted to be a pirate. Well actually, I want to be a pirate ninja, but then I'd never be able to put pictures of myself up because a true ninja never shows themselves, so I decided to just settle with pirate-y.
Again, I had this skirt (I think I actually bought this one somewhere) that was below the knee and I had gone off now... So I decided to make it into a dress. I have also put it with the belt I used on the other dress for a more going-out-y type outfit... however I realised that with my black leggings (H&M) it looked a bit pirate-esque. So I grabbed my grey striped top (Primark) and carefully put it on underneath. Then I dug out my wide black belt and placed that around my waist and became the chicest pirate around with my knee high boots (Matalan).
Win? I think so.

Now, as I mentioned earlier, I'm going to London on Wednesday. I know I do this a lot, but this is not for a drinking session or a shopping session or anything like that. No, I'm looking at going to college to do a Pre-Apprenticeship Training Course which is required before embarking on an apprenticeship in Bespoke Tailoring.
I'm certainly keen to find out more and think it may well be the thing for me. However, if I decide it's not, then I shall be off traipsing around the shops, but not shopping - nu-uh. Job hunting. I've decided it's well and truly time to get my ass out of Oxfordshire and working properly towards what I want to do with my life.
Will try to keep here up to date a bit more, but I'll probably fail epically again for a while. Apologies in advance.

Of late it would seem I have become fascinated by old, black and white photographs. My Harper's Bazaar arrived in the post yesterday, and in it was featured this picture (and is on page 79 if you're wondering):
This picture is by a photographer called Fernand Fonssagrives (that's the Wiki page) and according to my Harper's Bazaar, was taken around 1935. Wikipedia, however is trying to tell me that he didn't do these photographs experimenting with nudes and shadows until much later in his career.
Ahh the mystery.

Anyway, back to more fashiony-related things, because this is supposed to be a style/fashion/clothes type thing blog. Yeah, that makes sense... Having blogged back in beginning-mid December about a dress that I lusted after (check the post here), I am now happy/disgusted to discover it every where I look.
I'm happy because it means, hell yes, I have good taste and there is slightly more hope there'll be good rip offs on the high street for me to be able to afford.
I am, however, disgusted because it means I'm not as "original", "unique" and "individual" as I like to pretend I am. Bumholey.

Going by Harper Bazaar's mini-trends feature though, there are a few things I'm definitely lusting after following. The Sheer trend that comes in every season to varying degrees; well it's certainly taking my fancy, it has to be said. I just don't know if I would manage to pull it off without looking like a slut... because I seem to be good at that when I don't want to be. Likewise, I am liking the Underwear as Outwear trend. It is rather gorgeous.
I think I'm going to have to look for a corset style thing to wear with tops.

So that was my poorly composed thoughts on bits and pieces of the Spring/Summer 2010 trends. I'm sure I'll write some more coherent pieces as we get a bit warmer - it's just hard to feel Spring-y/Summer-y when we've still got bloody snow!

Failings of Epic Proportions.

Last night, snow created havoc across the UK once more. A week, to the day, since the last lot and things were just starting to clear up - then we get more bloody snow. I'm afraid, in case you hadn't guessed, the novelty has worn off now. I was unable to get into work again and this means a day of no pay again. Frustration. *end rant*

The snow did, however, mean that me and boyfriend could finally finish igloo!
I'm stood in front of it, I know, but I felt the need to pose with our hard work! I also believe this is the happiest you'll possibly see me look without being drunk... Oo-er.

Today, to keep my uber warm I wore grey skinnies (Criminal Damage from a friend), black strap top (Primark), green long sleeved top featured in this post (Primark), my black jumper dress (Matalan) and to go outside, my bright red coat (BHS). Chuck on a pair of wellies - which my boyfriend calls gum boots because he's weird and a kiwi - and multiple layers of gloves, socks and scarves, and that's me reasonably toasty for a day.

Hoping like hell though that I'll be able to go to work tomorrow. I'm officially very poor until I get paid on Friday. And come this time next week, I'll be very poor again until that Friday. Thank god for weekly pay is all I can say.

Lazy Days

I've decided that today is going to be a lazy, reasonably unproductive day. Having not woken up until 10am (in my defence I didn't go to bed until nearly 2 this morning), I decided I lack motivation for anything past reading and typing.

However, blogging is a fairly lazy thing that I can happily do. And so I bring to you a photographer who I am uber slow in discovering a love for: Irving Penn. Now, I know this guy has been around since, like, forever! And yes, I've seen his work before, and I read many articles dedicated to his work through his life after he died in October last year; however I've never really taken note of just how much his photography spoke to me.
Yesterday, when I was actually having a motivated day (well, to begin with), I was cutting up some of the fashion magazines I store in a big big big box in a corner of my room - just like fashion articles from the paper, copies of cheaper fashion monthlies, etc. My Vogues and Harper's Bazaar have their own special home and don't get cut up. I digress though; I was cutting up some of these fashion magazines including a Stella magazine (a free extract in the Sunday Telegraph) from 29th November. In there was an in depth articles looking at some of Irving Penn's work, and at the time I read it and looked at the pictures and thought nothing of it really. When I was cutting up the magazine though, I actually took time to look at these beautiful black and white photographs, and fell in love. The strength portrayed in these ordinary people; the stories that you can make your own because you can't hear their voices. It's so simply, and yet so extraordinary.
I think my favourite one is this one; a seamstress.
In this article of the LA times, it tells you a bit more of the picture and of the great man himself. I, however, adore this picture because there is such strength in her stance, that it makes me want to know so much more about her. She, in herself, is nothing out of the ordinary, but there's so many hidden depths and possibilities. Is she a mother, working hard to support her family? Has she done this her whole life? Is this her passion? All these unanswerable questions because it is simply a photograph; but none the less, you can make her who you want her to be. You can make her story what you want it to be.

That is what I adore about Irving Penn's work - it is only what you want to be. It can be just a photograph of a person, or it can be a hidden in depth story, with the person being just the beginning.

When I googled Irving Penn yesterday to find some more pictures to look at, I found some of his more modern work as well; some coloured pictures and some more close-ups on single body parts. I also found some still life's. They were all beautiful, but none the less, I think my heart for him will always lie in his black and white photographs of people with stories to tell.

The Dresses That Jennily Made

I don't think words are really needed. But these are my favourites from the night.
All dresses and the top are made by Jennily. She's amazing.
And everything is made by Jenny, bar the black top in picture 3, the tights in most pictures, the jeans in picture 6 and leggings in picture 4.
She's pretty damn fantastic :) and she herself, features in picture 5. Isn't she gorgeous =]

So Many Things, So Little Time

So last night I went to a fellow blogger's house to assist in the taking of photographs for her uni portfolio. I'll be putting up pictures of that when she sends me them through via email hopefully.

However, all the trying on and posing in these gorgeous dresses that she's made, made me want to experiment a little bit with some of my clothes at home here. And seeing as, for once, I actually have motivation, I took a few photos and am making an effort to blog vaguely decently as I always intended this blog to be.
So here are some pictures of my experimentations:
I think this last picture is probably my favourite, but with this set of pictures I was mainly exploring how little coverage is too little; what shapes worked with what, and the different ways I can wear 3 pieces together. Two out of the three items I'm wearing in these pictures are new items I bought whilst in London for New Years. The lace top and the legging (both H&M) are those items. The blazer (Florence + Fred for Tesco) I bought a while back and am always looking for new ways to wear.
I fell in love with the lace top almost as soon as I saw it as I have been looking for the perfect one for a while. At only £9.99, it saved me around £100 on the one that I'd fallen for at L.K. Bennett whilst I was doing some temping there, so obviously I was quite chuffed with that. I think what I particularly like about it is that it is so interchangeable, it can be really dressy and smart; it can be a little slutty (like here), and it can also be suitable for work with the right underneath. I think to wear it out, I'll definitely be wearing my silk strap top so that it keeps decent coverage, but it still looks a little seductive, a little suggestive.
I think I like the bottom of these 3 pictures the best because of the shape it creates and also it doesn't seem quite so in your face (to me anyway) that I'm only wearing a bra (Debenhams) underneath.
I then chucked on this dress (Topshop) with a long sleeved top (Primark) to experiment a little more - I had already decided the other week that it works with my grey striped top; but I was keen to know if worked with colour. My eventual conclusion? Well, it sort of does, but I don't like it as much. Unlike last time, I decided to put on leggings (as before) for a bit more coverage as it is bloody cold out there!
By now my attention span was wearing a bit thin, and I'd been interrupted by the postman delivering things for my brother and boyfriend *growl at the postman*. So i gave up, switched the green top for my ever faithful grey striped one (Primark) and got on with the day.

Finally though, before I finish up for this blog, I just want to share with you one of the outside pictures me and Jennily took last night for her uni portfolio. As my camera as a night time setting on it, we were using it for a few of the pictures in the snow, and I think this is one of my favourites.
Also, as we took this photo, it was snowing again. It was beautiful, and I wasn't all that cold actually, it was very bizarre.

Will probably end up blogging again either today or tomorrow with pictures that Jennily should be sending over to me at some point today. Have a good day and have a quick listen to this band called Mojo Pins; they have a very mellow indie sound, and although I'm obviously biased because one of my friends is in the band, I think they're pretty damn good.

Inspire Me

So here's the page I ended up using today to decide how to dress for the snow today:
At first I was planning on just flicking through randomly until I found something that appealed, but in the end that I'd use the index in the back instead. So I went straight to the back page and scanned through for a wintery month. This page has photos all taken in New York around November/December in varying years. That said, the bottom left picture was taken in September, but hey, September can be cold too, right?

Anyway, seeing the consistency over the years of how people seem to use dark coloured skinny jeans to keep warm in winter, I settled on chucking on my black skinnies (Criminal Damage @ Blue Banana) and on the top half, well, I've changed a few times already. Originally I had a simply strap top (Primark) and a top that I stole from my brother (well, the best clothes are always nicked from friends/relatives aren't they?) That said, I then went outside and ended up having a snow ball fight with boyfriend and got soaked. So needed to change and ended up throwing on my New Zealand shirt... But I'll probably change again at some point to go outside. It's minus 5.9 now according to temperature gauge, and I'll freeze if I go out like this. Boo Hoo. :(

Workaholic And Snow

Okay, so after a mild panic attack at realising I'd slept far too long to be able to get into work by the buses that are apparently running (I can't get my car out of where I live), I finally realised how ridiculous I was being to risk it. But that bit of me that loves working is still majorly gutted - no dressing smartly and getting to play at being pretty and smart. Boo hoo :(

So instead I'm left with trying to decide what to wear in this freezing weather - and for once I'm not exaggerating. The temperature gauge read 6.9 this morning.... MINUS 6.9 that is. So mind-numbingly cold.
This shall be interesting, I may turn to my Sartorialist book for inspiration.
Off I pop to take a hot shower, flick through the book; declare I have nothing to wear about 5 times and finally settle on some sub par outfit.
However, as long as it keeps me warm enough, I shall be completing the igloo today. Psyched. :)

A Little Later Than Planned...

Here are a couple of pictures from today:
Always a great way to start the day; immature drawings/writings on my car bonnet with boyfriend.
I also couldn't resist taking a few snapshots of how gorgeous our garden looked this afternoon.

And finally, boyfriend and I spent the afternoon creating an igloo. This is all we have done so far - took us a couple of hours to do. We plan to finish tomorrow, or, if I have to go back to work, then he'll finish it tomorrow. I couldn't resist a bit of posing with it, although I look pregnant. I can assure you I am not, I've simply stuffed my scarf (hand knitted by my Mummy :D) inside of my hoody (primark) which I layered over a jumper (Superdry @ Cult), a tshirt (bought in New Zealand, some place) and a strap top (primark). On my bottom half I wore skinnies (friend of a friend), leggings (H&M) aaaaaand 2 pairs of socks, neither location known. Chuck on a pair of wellies that have been sat in our garage for, like, ever... and you get this *not so* gorgeous ensemble.
And finally, because I fail epically at being serious for more than about 5 minutes:
By this point it was snowing quite heavily again. I'm really hoping, kind of, that I'll wake up tomorrow and it'll have pelted it down with more snow, replaced all the snow we used today, and I won't have to go to work. Because right now my motivation is about zero for getting out of bed. However, no work means no money; ahh the joys of being a temp.

Enjoy your snow days. :)

Layer Me Up

Today it is snowing. In case you hadn't guessed.
Boyfriend and I went to the shops today, and as it was very cold, I decided I needed layers and lots of them.
But oh the horror! How do I do this without looking horrendous (correct answer; I don't) but none the less I gave it a shot with the following combination (with no picture, sorry).
2 pairs of socks - one normal, one thermal. One pair of leggings. One pair of skinny jeans (mission and a half to get over leggings, but worth it for the toastiness). One strap top, one tshirt, one jumper and one hoody. To finish off the chunkiness that was me for this outing, I chucked on my ever faithful hand knitted scarf and ventured outside. It's beautiful outside. Really beautiful.
I fully intend to go out this afternoon, after a warming lunch, and make a snow man and take photographs. Well, more photographs that are worth actually showing.

This afternoon, I may also be venturing out with fellow blogger, Jennily, on the hunt for locations to photograph her beautiful dresses to put into her portfolio for her uni interview. Good luck Jennily :)
Muppet here, for some crazy ass reason that I haven't worked out yet, agreed to model them for her. I also, in a moment of craziness this morning whilst still half asleep, also agreed that if she wanted, I would let her photograph me, in the snow, wearing nothing but the dresses, a pair of tights and heels - no coats, no scarfs, nothing. Meep! This shall be vair interesting.

Shall keep updated today, and possibly tomorrow if the snow continues as it is. I can't get my car out, and the buses aren't running so I'm unable to venture into work. Instead, I'm making an effort to work on my blog, tidy my room *yeah right*, and okay, main thing, play on Sims 2 that boyfriend installed on my computer for me yesterday evening.
Yes, I know Sims 3 is where it's at now, but I'm far too cool for that, so Sims 2 will satisfy my needs.

Have a good snow day fellow England-ers, anddddd if you haven't got snow, well you're lucky/unlucky (depending how you view it) :)

Happy 2010

This is the Latte Macchiato I'm currently slurping on in one of the new glasses I got for Christmas, I just wanted to share the prettiness of it after it's started to settle :)

So my first blog of the New Year, and it's going to be as scatty as ever - let's start the year as we mean to go on. I epically failed, as usual, at taking outfit pictures whilst I was away in London, so we won't bother with that...
I also did lots of dragging boyfriend around the shops with me and purchased 3 more things to add to my already full wardrobe. No doubt the new purchases will make themselves shown on the blog over the next few days, including today.
This is the new dress I bought in the Topshop sale. It's from one of their concessions, Illustrated People, and it's really comfy. I threw it over my striped top (primark) for a more laid back (and warm!) look. I also chucked on a pair of tights (Debenhams) to keep my legsies warmish. In fact I'm just having a quick of Illustrated People's website, and I think I may have to look into purchasing some more of their stuff in future. Sexy stuff indeed.

So I hope everyone had a good New Year's. I certainly did wondering the streets of London with a couple of mates and drinking a bit much and having a laugh. We brought in the New Year watching the fireworks that were round the London Eye, from near Buckingham Palace which was groovy. And to make the night even more perfect, as we walked back to the tube station, it began to snow. The weather forecasters weren't kidding when they said to wrap up warm for the night - it was bloody freezing, and needless to say, I wasn't dressed practically!

I think these pictures basically sum up the whole night. I can't remember the last time I smiled so much, and let people capture my smiles on film (well, memory card, same diff).

Hope everyone has a good year, I'll be back with more soon.
