As everyone in the fashion world, and many people outside of it, know, yesterday there was a fatality among the designers. Alas, it was one of our own wonders as well; Mr. Lee Alexander McQueen.
I won't prattle on about him for too long, and I'll be honest that I didn't cry. I was none the less devastated to hear this news though as his work was always my favourite. His name was one of the first ones I remembered when I was just starting to absorb fashion-y related things (alongside Vivienne Westwood's). I always associated his collections as being outrageously British (I think this was probably down to the "Highland Rape" show of 1995 - long before I was entirely capable of being aware of fashion), but I also recall when I saw his collection of the digitally printed dresses. Yum ♥
I'll leave it at that for now.
Tomorrow *hopefully* or at some point over the weekend, I'll blog about yesterday's episode of Skins.
I did write a whole entry for it tonight, but Blogger decided to be a complete blast and delete the vast majority of the most that was on the end of this one. So you'll have to get it some other time.
