Series 4, Episode 2

It can only be Skins that's opened with that bland title. Why such a bland title? Because the programme itself is so excitement packed!
So tonight we have what I think is Emily's episode. And as per usual, Edward has done fabulous on the costume design in my opinion.
At the beginning we have Emily and Naomi (her girlfriend) and it has to be said, I adore Naomi's style, the clashing prints and indie hints. Argh, massive lust over it.
And I can't help but love the way Emily looks so "normal" but fashionable. The bright purple tights teamed with dark skirt and grey top. Love it. And then on her orange moped with the old fashioned goggles and helmet. A fabulous mixture of new and old? I think so.

Also, we have Effy back properly (I hope). Finally! She's always been my favourite character for outfits. Perhaps because she's tall and slim, and I'd like to pretend that she's a similar build to myself, bar the fact she's far more beautiful, obviously. Her first major scene and it's her nicking one of Freddie's chips. This is where the style team come into their own; it's the little details here that make this show seem even more real life - Effy's got gorgeous red nails. But in a typical Effy style way, they're chipped.
Pull back and you see her gothy-emo-Effy style. A black tee with sheer sleeves. Then teamed with blue sequined hotpants. Normally I'd think these look cheap and tacky, but on Effy, they look fabulous.

In other news I'm lusting over florals at the moment. I'm not sure why, but I am.
I rather like this dress from Dorothy Perkins:
Also, I got my new copy of Harper's Bazaar yesterday - March's issue. And there's soooo many things I'm lusting after in there. I aim to do a blog about that over the weekend.
Have a lovely evening, and if you missed Skins, go watch on 4OD!
